I was privileged to record Thiago X. Nascimento at the Mesquite Arts Center in Mesquite, TX on November 14, 2009.
Included in his performance were works of Chopin, including the Ballade Op.23 No.1 in g minor, the Scherzo Op.20 No.1 in b minor, the Polonaise Op.53 No.6 in Ab Major 'Heroic', and his Scherzo Op.31 No.2 in Bb minor. Thiago also performed Rachmaninoff's Etude Tableau Op.39 No.4 in b minor, as well as W.A. Mozart's Turkish March, transcribed by Arcadi Volodos.
Working with Thiago has always been as much fun as it has been amazing to see him become the awesome, versatile artist he is today.
In April of 2009 I recorded the Simone Sala Jazz Group featuring Simone Sala on piano, Jonathan Jones on clarinet and saxophone, Oreste Sabbara on drums, Leland Byrd on bass, Dr. Kevin Hanlon on electric guitar, and Akira Sato on trumpet. Tracks featured on this page include 'Libertango' by Astor Piazzola, 'Burn' and '19.2' written by Dr. Kevin Hanlon at Southern Methodist University, 'Never Say Ever', 'Why Did you kick me out?', 'Trying to Believe It' and 'Variations for Francesco' written by Simone Sala.
